Wuqiangxi

The Wuqiangxi Hydropower Station in Hunan, it was built in 1994 with a total investment of 8.9 billion yuan. It has imported advanced technology and equipment from 11 countries, such as the United States, Japan, and Germany. It is a key project in the seventh and eighth five-year plan.

Wuqiangxi Hydropower Station is the largest hydropower station in Hunan Province. The dam is a concrete gravity arch dam with a height of 87.5 meters, a total crest length of 724 meters, a storage capacity of 4.2 billion cubic meters and an installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts.

Causes of concrete diseases

Wuqiangxi town with a humid and warm environment breeds rich natural resources but also aggravates the weathering, corrosion, and erosion of the dam. In the high humidity area, the 25 mm thick protective layer is difficult to prevent the corrosion of steel bars caused by the carbonation of concrete.
